Mode

Measure a dress you built against every active rule.

Pick the brief you are about to hand in.

Load My Dress

The bench remembers your last dress in this browser, and saved builds are listed below it.

Story requirements

The game only offers this brief after these outcomes. The checker cannot see your save, so they are listed rather than assumed.

Build a Dress

The checker has nothing to measure until a dress exists. Build one in the workbench and bring it straight back here.

Load a dress and every rule below is measured against it.

How it works

How the checker reads your dress

Four steps, and none of them changes your dress. The checker measures what you already built, then explains what the game counted.

  1. 1Choose the briefPick the brief you are about to hand in. If it branches on your story choices, choose the ones you actually picked so only the active rules are checked.
  2. 2Load your dressThe dress travels in the URL, so arriving from the workbench brings the whole garment with you. Nothing has to be re-entered, and the checker never edits it.
  3. 3Read the verdictEvery active rule is measured with the engine the workbench uses, so a number here and a number there are the same number. Rules this page cannot measure are marked, not failed.
  4. 4Open the rule that fell shortOpen any short rule and it names the pieces that counted, the pieces that did not, and the amount still missing. From there the repair bench takes the dress, or the solver starts over from the brief.

What the checker checks

The checker reads seven kinds of rule: a style score, a colour share, a fabric share, a colour allow-list, a fabric allow-list, a decoration count, a trim length and a variety count. Each one opens to the same reading — what counted, what did not, and the amount still missing.

Why something may not count

Colour is counted in the game's own colour categories, not by eye. Two cloths that look clearly different can be sorted into the same category, and the pair then counts once. Every explanation on this page names the category a cloth was sorted into, so a short colour rule says which fabric caused it.

The same is true of items. A trim rule counts the decorations classified as that trim, so a cloth whose name shares the word is not on the list — and a lace decoration pinned on as a point decoration adds no length at all.

Questions

Commission checker questions

  • How do I check a dress I have not built yet?

Open the workbench, build the dress there, and press "Check this dress". You can also load the dress this browser last remembered, or open the checker from a commission page and pick a commission first.

  • Why isn't my lace counting?

A trim rule counts only the decorations the game classifies as that trim, and only the length you actually draw. A fabric whose name contains the same word is a fabric type, so it is not on the list at all. Open the rule's own explanation to read which items are counted.

  • Why do three fabrics only count as two colours?

Colours are counted in the game's own colour categories, not by how different two cloths look. Two cloths that look clearly different to you can sit in the same category, and the pair then counts as one colour. The explanation on the failing rule names the category each cloth was sorted into.

  • Why won't the commission finish when everything is green?

Then the numbers are not what is stopping you. A garment can satisfy every rule and still be short a cut piece, an unsewn seam or a panel that was never placed, and that is a workshop problem rather than a requirement one. The checklist under the verdict walks through it, and the troubleshooting page goes deeper.

  • What is the difference between accessory count and variety?

Variety counts different items; count counts placements. Five of one bow is five towards a count rule and one towards a variety rule. Rule by rule, the explanation lists exactly which pieces were counted and which were treated as a repeat.

  • Why did an accessory not raise the style score?

The style breakdown lists every piece that carried weight for that score, including the ones working against it, with the amount each one added. An accessory that carries no weight for that style is listed separately rather than quietly ignored.

  • What does "not enough information" mean?

It means the page cannot decide the rule from a dress configuration, and it is saying so instead of guessing. The usual case is quality: the game scores it while you cut, fit and sew, so no combination of pattern, cloth and trim can prove it. A rule this page cannot check is never counted as a failure.

  • What is the difference between the checker, the fixer and the solver?

The checker tells you whether this dress passes, which rules are short and exactly what counted. The fixer answers the next question — what is the smallest change that closes those gaps — and the solver skips your dress entirely and returns a dress the game has already validated.

About the commission checker

The checker is the diagnosis step of the commission chain. It does not rebuild your dress and it does not suggest an edit — it reads every active rule of one brief against the garment you have, then shows which items counted, which ones did not, and by how much the short ones are short.

Two answers are deliberately honest rather than tidy. Quality is scored while you cut, fit and sew, so it comes back as unmeasured instead of failing, and a rule the game decides in a way this page cannot see is never guessed at. A brief that branches on your story choices is checked against the branch you pick, never against every version at once.

Everything here runs in your browser from data published with the game build. Nothing is saved to an account, and the URL carries the whole state, so a check you want to show someone else is a link rather than a screenshot.
