Browse accessories by type

Every accessory in the catalogue belongs to one of these types. Each chip filters the finder above — these are filters, not separate pages.

These types are the game's own accessory enum, not a list copied from a store description. The developer names buttons, bows, appliqué and lace trims as examples; the catalogue carries every type the build actually publishes.

Placed accessories and trims

The catalogue holds two kinds of decoration, and the difference is not cosmetic — it decides how the game counts the item and what a commission measures.

  • Placed accessories

    162 accessories

Individual decorations placed at specific points on the dress.

Bought by the item, and counted one at a time.

    Show Placed accessories
  • Trims & lace

    169 accessories

Decorations drawn along a path, edge or seam.

Bought by length, and measured by how much of it you place.

Placement is a field the game states, not a category this page invented. It is also the reason a trim's price is not one number: a length-based decoration costs the length you place.

Find an accessory for a commission

A brief can count an accessory type or measure a length of trim, and it names the type it wants. These are the types the build's briefs ask for, most-wanted first.

A requirement is a rule about a type, not about one item: any obtainable accessory of that type can answer it. The two rules that measure a length are listed separately below.

Browse accessories by style

Each chip keeps only the accessories whose tags raise that style, strongest contribution first.

A style weight is signed. An accessory can lower a style as well as raise it, so a filter never claims a decoration is good — only how much it moves that style.

How Style Scores Work →

Accessory count is not accessory variety

The engine takes two different measurements, and a dress that satisfies one can still fail the other.

Count
How many decorations of the required type are on the dress.
Variety
How many distinct accessories are used, whatever their type.

Five of the same button can satisfy a count of five and still be a variety of one.

In this build, 26 published briefs carry a count rule and 6 measure a trim length. None of them requires a variety count: the engine supports it, and no commission the site publishes uses it.

Commission requirements explained →

Lace and trim are measured by length

A trim is not counted like a button. It is bought by length and checked against a total placed length, so the same decoration can be worth one centimetre or a hundred.

Lengths are stated in the game's own unit, the same one a brief prints.

This page states the measurement and stops there. How a required length is reached, and what it costs, belong to the usage guide and the cost calculator.

About accessories in Dressmaker

Accessories are how a dress meets a commission's finer requirements. A brief can count a number of items of one type, measure a length of trim, or ask for several different kinds of decoration, and the accessory catalogue is what answers those sentences. Use the filters above to find decorations for a requirement, a style, or a budget, then open an accessory to see exactly what it contributes.

Placement matters as much as type. A point accessory is placed individually and counts towards the brief that asks for it; a path accessory is applied along a line or an edge, and it is what a trim-length rule measures. That is why 169 of the 331 accessories here are listed as trim and edge decorations rather than as individual ones.

Every accessory here is one a player can obtain. The game build also ships developer and unreleased rows that carry no price, no artwork and a prestige level of -1, and they are excluded from this page and from every count on it. One commission asks for a type that only exists as one of those rows, and the honest answer to that brief is stated on the page rather than filled with an item nobody can use.

Prices are the game's own, in its own units, and they are shown so a cheap bow and an expensive one are never presented as equals. Style weights can be worth 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10, and the minimum-score row lets you cut everything below a threshold once you have named the style you are chasing.

Dressmaker accessory questions

  • How many accessories are in Dressmaker?

331 obtainable accessories across 11 types. 115 are available from the start and 216 sit behind a prestige level. Developer and unreleased entries are not part of that number.

  • Which accessories count towards a commission requirement?

It depends on the type the brief names. A commission that asks for five bows is satisfied by five bows and nothing else, so the answer is always a specific type: Jewel, Bow, Feather, Brooch, Flower, Tassel, Bell, Button, Other, or a measured length of Trim, Lace Trim. Open a brief's requirement and this finder opens with that type already selected.

  • What is the difference between an individual and a trim accessory?

An individual accessory is placed one at a time on the dress. A trim or path accessory is applied along a line or an edge, which is why it is the only placement a trim-length requirement can measure. Both are bought from the same catalogue; only the way they are placed differs.

  • Can I filter accessories by cost?

Yes. The quick chips step through the real price points in the catalogue — not round marketing bands — and the low and high boxes take any range. Prices run from 1 to 70, so the cheapest bow and the most expensive jewel are both three clicks away.

  • Why do accessories raise Elaborate?

Because placing decorations on a dress contributes to how elaborate it is, on top of the style weights the accessory itself carries. The finder states that on the style filter rather than printing a number on every card, because the final contribution depends on how many accessories a dress ends up wearing.

Where this page's data comes from

Nothing here is written by hand. The catalogue, the prices and the style weights are read from the game's own data:

Accessory records
445
Normally obtainable
331
Not normally obtainable
114

The export ships 445 accessory rows. 114 of them are developer or unreleased entries gated behind a negative prestige level, so no player can obtain them; they are not in the finder, not in the listing and not in the sitemap. This page's catalogue is the remaining 331.

The developer describes the full game as containing more than 350 accessories. That is a statement about the game's content, not about this catalogue: our count is the 331 rows a player can actually obtain, taken from the game's own entity structure.

Names, types and placement come from the game's entity definitions; prices and style weights from the gameplay data; artwork from the extracted assets; requirement rules from the briefs' own requirement list.
