- How do I rotate the mannequin in Dressmaker?
- Player reports do not agree on the method: dragging the scene around the mannequin, using the mouse wheel, and clicking near the mannequin's neck before turning have all been suggested, and the player who asked said at least some of them did not work. The most accurate answer is to follow the on-screen control for the scene you are in and retry from the main mannequin view rather than from a panel.
- Why won't the mannequin rotate?
- Because the mouse in Dressmaker is contextual. If the cursor is still on an inventory, a panel or a placement interface, your input may be consumed by that object instead of the camera. Build 410 patched exactly that class of problem in the cutting room, where the wheel stopped rotating a panel while the cursor sat over the inventory.
- Why does a panel rotate instead?
- Because you are still interacting with a scene object rather than with the camera. Move the cursor off the panel and back into empty space in the mannequin scene, then retry — the object, not the view, is what your input is currently reaching.
- Why do I need to rotate the mannequin while sewing?
- Because some seams are on another side. Players reach this page after sewing everything they can see and finding the dress still unfinished, and the missing seam is usually behind or beside what they were looking at.
- Is rotating the mannequin the same as rotating the sewing piece?
- No. Rotating the piece is a local interaction at the sewing machine, and it is the one the tutorial documents — drag the mouse left and right to rotate the piece. Rotating the mannequin turns the view around the dress. Doing one does not do the other.
- Did Build 410 fix mannequin rotation?
- No mannequin or camera rotation fix is listed. Build 410 changed thread colour, sketchbook component names, the cutting-room mouse wheel, a panel placement hint and a tutorial softlock. Rotation is not among them.
- How do I rotate on the Steam Deck?
- This page does not list a button layout, because the game ships no default controller mapping and any list here would be a guess presented as documentation. The Deck's overall controller position belongs to the Steam Deck page.
