Dressmaker Quality Bench

Dressmaker Quality Calculator

Enter the readings your dress is already showing and the bench gives you the score, then runs the same sum backwards: which reading has to reach what, and whether the target is reachable at all.

The game's weighted sum, replayed reading by reading, rounded exactly where the game rounds itGame data build 25482629

Step 1 · Target

What Quality do you need?

Pick the commission you are working on and the bench takes its threshold, or type the number you were given.

A brief states its Quality as a floor rather than a score to beat, so a dress that lands exactly on the number passes.

Step 2 · Which formula

Is this dress being scored against a client?

The game holds two scoring branches, and they do not weigh the same readings. The same grain and the same sewing can land a point apart between them.

Does this dress use client measurements?

Client commissions compare the mannequin with the customer's measurements. A personal dress or a gift quest has nobody to measure, and that reading drops out of the sum rather than counting as zero.

Step 3 · Readings

What does the dress score so far?

The three numbers the game reads while you work. Type them in or drag the sliders — the result follows as you go, with no Calculate button.

30%

Read in the Cutting Room as the panels go on the mannequin. It is the one reading a re-cut can still change.

20%

Read from the mannequin against the client's measurements, so it only exists on a dress that has a client.

Mark it unknown and the bench answers with a span instead of one score, plus the Fit the target would need.

50%

Read from the seams as they are run. On a client dress it carries the largest share of the score.

Margin +8

The weighted sum is rounded to a whole number once, at the end, and this figure is what that rounding produces.

Recovery

What has to change?

The dress already reaches 80. Each arm below shows what that reading alone is still worth.

Quality Breakdown

Where the score comes from

Each reading multiplied by the share it carries, in the order the game adds them up.

  • Grain

    75 0.30 × 22.5

  • Fit

    95 0.20 × 19

  • Sewing Accuracy

    92 0.50 × 46

  • Raw total

    87.5

  • Final Quality

    88

The three contributions add to 87.5, and the single rounding at the end is what turns that into the score printed above.

The arithmetic

How this page gets the answer

Two branches, one score, and a rounding step at the end that decides the last point.

With client measurements

Quality = round( Grain × 30% + Fit × 20% + Sewing Accuracy × 50% )

Fit is measured against a person, so it appears in this branch only.

Without client measurements

Quality = round( Grain × 40% + Sewing Accuracy × 60% )

The Fit term is gone rather than zeroed, and the two remaining readings are re-weighted to carry the whole score between them.

The bench does not solve this on paper. It searches whole-number readings with the same function the score comes from, which is why a recovery answer is a value that really passes rather than a decimal that has to be rounded up.

The three readings

What to work on when the score is short

Each reading has one page that owns how to raise it — take the one the recovery planner pointed at.

  • Grain

    30%

Grain is read from how each cut panel lines up with the fabric's direction, so it is decided before the dress is assembled and can only be changed by cutting that panel again.

    Why grain comes out low
  • Fit

    20%

Fit compares the mannequin with the client's measurements. Getting it right is a matter of reading the numbers and adjusting the mannequin, not of sewing better.

    Reading the measurements
  • Sewing Accuracy

    50%

Sewing accuracy is read from the seams once they are run. It is the largest single share of a client dress's score, and the reading most dresses lose.

Sources and versions

The weights, the Fit formula and the single rounding step are replayed from the game's own scoring block, so every contribution and every ceiling on this page is a value that block actually returns. That is what lets the recovery planner quote a minimum instead of an estimate.

The readings you type in and the target you choose are yours; the bench measures nothing by itself.

Current public build: 410

No Quality scoring change is listed in the Build 410 patch notes, so the arithmetic above still matches the public release.
